Pa'u

My four year old just started taking hula classes last month and I just received the fabric I ordered for her Pa'u.  A Pa'u is the what the skirt is called that the girls use to dance in.  It is beautiful red cotton with gold-colored flowers and I have to make it tonight for her class tomorrow.

Her "Kumu Hula," or hula teacher, asked me if I would like to stand in the back and learn the steps so that I could practice with my daughter at home.  Um....yes, please!!!!  I have fallen in love with it!  And let me tell you, it is definitely a workout.  And of course, so beautiful.  I will post pics tomorrow of the finished Pa'u.
